Day 18 - relationships

Feeling bit better today from my cold...and I'm finally done with the models! talked to derrick on msn about my thesis idea or I guess, our thesis idea, he seems okay with it...i gotta do more research...

also "talked" to another good friend on msn...she's thinking about breaking up w/ her bfriend cuz they're not spiritually compatible...she feels like he's preventing her from a closer relationship with God. Hmm..I've given it some thought. I don't think you can ever be on the same spiritual level. We all go thru our ups and downs in our faith, no one is perfect. We all stumble and fall sometimes so it doesn't seem fair to break up w/ someone just cuz their faith is not as strong as yours cuz one day, your own faith might take a nose dive. I think the issue lies in whether you're the type of person who doesn't get easily influenced by other's fall from grace but in fact is the type who can lift that person up OR you're the type that stumbles very easily and need that strong person to remind and encourage you w/ God's words. The first type is able to help the second type reaffirm their faith. I think you can have both types in a relationship or two of the first type but two of the second type is a disaster waiting to happen. I think what my friend needs is a break from all these earthly relationships and get back to working on her relationship w/ God and see what he has in stored for her! If her bfriend isn't helping her grow in faith then it's not a God-centered relationship and it's not worth going on. If he's not going to take up a faithful leadership role and get the relationship to a point that's God-centered then she needs to end it.... but that's just what i think...
