Day 10 - visitors from Toronto
~ SUNNY & WARM ~
Couldn't sleep last night... it was really cold! had the window opened cuz my room smelled like wet socks! Didn't wake up to go walking again...one of these days it'll happen...one of these days...
At work, Steve had me build a site model for this Russia project... I guess without upgraded computers I can't do any work on the computer... keep making models... oh well, it's kinda fun! Steve let me have the afternoon off to spend w/ uncle peter & auntie ada, met them in Chinatown at a restaurant called "Silver Dragon". I was really surprised to see auntie grace and the other uncle peter too! It was really nice to see them, they gave me a package from mom...chinese cold medicine and snacks! thanks mom!
Lunch was really good...probably won't have dim sum again till I get back to TO...walked around chinatown with them, took some pictures but then they had to leave for banff...
After they left, I walked around the city centre for a bit... went to Calgary's Eaton Centre...a lot smaller than Toronto's but similar design... Calgary has a +15 bridge system that works exactly like our PATH, connecting all the business buildings w/ shops and food courts except it's above ground... I like this system better than the PATH cuz it's brighter better ventilated and designed... found something really cool at the top level of the Eaton Centre, it's called "Devonian Garden"...hehe kinda like Devonian Square at Ryerson... it's this indoor garden and it's so pretty! It spans the entire length of the Eaton Centre and is complete with ponds, fountains, fishes, tress, plants, sculptures, benches, tables, chairs and covered by glass walls and roof! I took pictures!
Thank you for today Lord, I was really missing home so you brought a piece of home to me...Thank you for listening and answering my prayers!
