Day 22 - miss "centre of the universe"

~windy but sunny and decently warm~

oh boy, toilet overflowed AGAIN!!! this can't keep happening... even the tub had water backflowing! I ran upstairs to tell dave... he called the city people to come and check it out...i waited for a friend to come pick me up for church...i never called her... i wonder if she'll come..I waited till 9:45..i should have called her...we never discussed that she would drive me every week...so I walked to church...it was only 25mins...same time as walking to tcbc...after service, there was still no sign of my friend... someone told me she went to banff w/ her family...good thing i didn't wait! guess i expected her to call me..haha..i'm pretty self-centered...well she's been so great to me, i'm sure she would have called to tell me, she probably just forgot. She was having a pretty hectec week with all her relatives in town...even if she didn't forget, that's fine...i can't expect people to put their life on hold and constantly think about me... You know olwen, the universe really doesn't revolve around you!

well after church, i decided to go to the music store a friend told me about to get a guitar strap and maybe more books to teach me to play...but first i was distracted by the mcdonald's...i haven't had that in so long...after eating i took the bus to the music store...but they weren't open...closed on sundays...doh...so I went to the chinook centre...don't know why...i didn't want to buy anything...actually, there's lots of stuff i would like to buy but I didn't want to give myself the opportunity to shop, especially since i just listened to a sermon about living a simple life and to reduce spending $ on material goods...so I just sat at the mall... i was so tired from walking... after analyzing various shoppers, i took the bus to the Lyllac Festival..it was quite a scene! reminded me of "the taste of danforth" except it wasn't just food but also clothes, jewellery, sunglasses, accessories, beer gardens, you name it! then i just went back to sandi & dave's place and watched tv the rest of the night...i was so tired i didn't want to move...don't know what's happening w/ the basement toilet but at least it's being looked after...
