Day 39 - Making pies

I got an email from Kat today, she's always so full of encouragement and jokes. I spent most of my time at work fixing up the Haiti chapel and uploading pictures. After work, I went to the pie-making party. The girl who invited me, picked me up at the train station. She's really nice and friendly and from the non-'new-girl' perspective, I can see she's really making the effort to make me feel welcomed and accepted. Sad to say in our churches these days, there aren't many people like her who would make such an effort to make new comers feel welcomed. I know at my church back home, we struggle with this. I know I just met this girl but there's something about her that I really like. She reminds me of someone... can't quite put my finger on who though.... The pie party itself was a lot of fun! I've never made a pie before so naturally my pie tasted a little funny... I took the recipe with me... perhaps, when I have time, I'll attempt to make it again... perhaps.

There were a lot of other girls at the little party, all around my age. I partnered up with a girl who looked just like Kat w/ glasses on! Especially when she smiles! She invited me to go the university/college fellowship when I get back from Trinidad since I told her I've been going to the career fellowship cell groups. haha, she thought it was weird that I was hanging out with older people. I admit it does sound weird but I it's not weird. I've come to really like my new older friends but Dot told me to try out other cell groups so I'll give the university/college fellowship a try. Even though that is where I belong...

Gotta pack! leaving friday!!
